She and her quilting partner, Kris Spray, won a major purchase award at the 2019 Spring Paducah Quilt Show for “Seasons of Life”, which means that the quilt will be in the permanent collection of the National Quilt Museum! |

Other recent ribbons include Outstanding Large Quilt, a major award at Road to California (2019), as well as a 2nd place in the Animal category; 1st place in the Wall Quilt category in MQX New England (2019); Honorable Mention at AQS Grand Rapids (2018); Best Use of Color award at the Lancaster Quilt Fest (2019); 3rd place Wall Category, Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival (2018); 2nd place Wall Category, Pacific International Quilt Show (2018); 3rd place at TAG Art Gallery (2018); Best of Show at the River City Quilter’s Guild show (2018). Several of her quilts are displayed in the book “500 Traditional Quilts” by Lark Publications.
Sandra has been quilting for over 30 years and teaching for 15. She was a key participant in designing and creating the RCQG’s 2018 opportunity quilt. She was chosen as the 2019 Featured Artist because of her wide variety of quilting styles, her expertise and willingness to share ideas, and her overall commitment to the guild.
