X Marks the Block

SIGN UP for this year’s Block of the Month!  “X Marks the Block” will feature a baker’s dozen of blocks that suggest the letter “X,” whether they are pinwheels, stars, or crosses. ​

We’re going to mix it up a bit this year, with blocks of different sizes, from 6” to 18.” A full quilt pattern is included. You’ll get to make some new blocks in this challenge, BUT there are no “Y” seams, no partial seams, no applique, and no curves. You keep your blocks and make your own quilt.

Monthly Sharing: Participants who complete the previous month’s BOM are eligible for a random prize drawing, one winner per month. To be eligible, you must submit a photo of your block before the monthly meeting to Keitha Hunter, and attend the Guild’s monthly meeting (in person or via Zoom) to show your block. ​
Final Reveal: A grand prize drawing will be held during the December Holiday Party for quilters who have finished their quilt entirely--quilting, binding, label and all! Then we will randomly draw a second prize winner from all the other participants who have finished their quilt or have assembled at least nine of the blocks into a quilt top (the assembled top does not need to be quilted or bound.)

The one-time $25 registration fee includes one (1) yard of the required “light” fabric and all of your Block of the Month patterns for the year. Patterns are released monthly as PDF documents sent to your email and/or as downloads from
