QuILT CHALLENGE 2021
Remember back in the good ol’ days, before the pandemic, when our biggest challenge was trying to come up with ideas for what we were going to make for the Guild’s annual Quilt Show challenge? Well, those days are back! The Guild is sponsoring an updated 2021 Quilt Challenge based on the theme: California Dreamin’
The Guild is asking members only to participate in the 2021 Quilt Challenge by making a quilted project that represents California in some way and includes the following: an artificial, commercially made flower prominently displayed on the front of your project and a piece of non-cotton fabric. Your Challenge project can be a traditional or art quilt, home décor, wearable art, or a purse/bag; consist of three (3) layers: top, batting, and backing; and be quilted.

Location: Swifty Stitches Quilt Shop, 9045 Fair Oaks Blvd., Carmichael, CA
The Quilt Challenge projects will be exhibited for voting at Swifty Stitches Quilt Shop. All viewers of the Exhibition will be allowed to vote on their three (3) favorite quilts. Ribbons will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place and Honorable Mention. Winners will be announced at RCQG’s September Guild meeting, and subsequently posted on the Guild’s website and Facebook page. The winners will receive their ribbons via snail mail.
