OPPORTUNITY QUILT
Each year the Guild presents a quilt show, which includes a wearable art show. A beautiful quilt is generally made by the members as a fund-raising opportunity. This years quilt was made by the 2010 quilt show co-chairs using a block technique developed by Sylvia H. Einstein. The quilt show committee prepares for this annual event a year in advance, lining up judges to judge the traditional, contemporary, and art quilts made by guild members and wearable art made by textile artists within the guild. In addition, a quilter or textile artist is selected to be the featured artist during the length of the 3-day show.
The annual quilt show offers members the chance to display their work to the public. It also gives the community a chance to see the new and exciting directions quilt making is taking, as new techniques are learned, and as new fabric materials are available in the marketplace and used in quilts.

| TRAVEL SCHEDULE FOR THE 2009 OPPORTUNITY QUILT
Volunteers are needed to sell RCQG Opportunity Quilt tickets to members of other quilt guilds, and to the general public. Traveling to other guilds is very interesting and lots of fun!
