QUILT SHOW
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Anyone can enter a cloth quilt by submitting the entry form, and color photos of entry. Photos should be clearly labeled. Exhibitors are limited to four (4) entries total, and only one (1) judged entry per category. Preference will be given to RCQG members. Entries from non-members will be accepted on a space available basis. Late entries, from members or non-members, will not be guaranteed a place in the show and no entries will be accepted after the August guild meeting.
Large and small quilt entries must have a 4-inch sleeve. Entries received without sleeves will be returned. This requirement does not apply to miniature quilts.
Entries must be labeled with a receipt. Receipts will be included in the application confirmation letter. Upon receipt of your entry form, your entry will be acknowledged by the Quilt Show Check-in/Check-out Chair. Along with your application confirmation letter, we will also include a Quilt Show Receipt and Label for your entry.
If your entry is to be judged
Please fill out the Label and fold the blank portion at the right of the label over the label and STITCH IT DOWN. Do not use pins (safety pins tear the label and straight pins are a safety hazard to your quilt and the quilt handlers during the judging process)
If your quilt is being exhibited Please cut off the section to the right of the label -- you don't need to cover your name.
Judged entries must be available by 9 a.m. and exhibited quilts must be available by 11 a.m. on Wednesday before the show.
