UPDATE:
QUILT SHOW CHALLENGE
That beautiful fabric!! I hope all 50 plus quilters taking part in our challenge are working, planning or have finished with your project. At last, mine is finished. Time is passing so fast-- remember , the challenge must be finished for the show....so it has to be done in time to take pictures and fill out entry sheets. It will be wonderful to have a section set aside for our special challenge at the show. Yes!! You can also have them judged at the show in addition to being judged by our peers at the October meeting. Ribbons will be presented at the show....so we will be in the dark as to who won till November. It will be hard to wait, but we can do it.
Keep up the good work---looking forward to many fantastic pieces.

QUILT SHOW
Challenge Quilt
TEATIME IN THE GARDEN is the theme for our challenge for the year 2009. Fabric will be on sale at the February meeting. Each packet contains 1/4 yard focus fabric and 1/8 yard accent fabric at a cost of $3.25 per packet. Purchase is limited to 2 packets until we run out of packets.
More fabric may be purchased at RUNS WITH SCISSORS QUILT SHOP at 7130 Auburn Blvd., Citrus Heights, CA. (916-722-2500). There are no size limits this year… just have fun and make this as wonderful a challenge as we had last year. Any Questions call Janet 916-489-3097 or e-mail fwvwl@juno.com.
Items will be judged by our peers at the October meeting. All quilted items will be accepted. Both fabrics must appear on front of item entered. Ribbons will be awarded at the November Quilt Show.
There are three categories for prizes:
- VIEWER'S CHOICE,
- BEST USE OF COLOR,
- BEST INTERPRETATION OF THEME.
So make sure your fabulous creation is finished and ready for submission, and entered in this year's TEATIME IN THE GARDEN quilt show.
