MARCH 2005 -- Our members were treated to a special opportunity to meet this well traveled quilter and see her unique quilting method. |
Although Louisa Smith is well known for her Strips and Curves, at the March guild meeting Louisa shared her exploration with the beautiful bargello tapestry style of quiltmaking. She showed us how she has taken this method one step further and created her own design by adding a little twist with pattern, color and fabrics. Regular Bargello, Twist and Turns, Fractured Bargello and Double Vision are just some of the new designs she explored, as well as embellishing the bargello for a unique look.
