in Post WWII America?
Date: September 15, 2008
This month's speaker and workshop teacher is local gal Lindy Munday. Her lecture, What Happened to Quilt Making in Post WWII America? will be a lively historic insight on quilting.
Lindy loves all things Americana . . . the history of how the 1930's were the hey days of quilting in this country, what happened to quilting in the 1950's, and exploring the impact WWII had on the American quilter will all be covered in this evening's talk. This is an interactive lecture. Please bring your 1950's era quilts, family and friends who experienced the war and years after, and memories to share with the guild.
For over 25 years Lindy has been deeply involved in quilting. Some of her quilterrific qualities include quilt shop owner, teacher of 'It's OK" technique, Qualified Quilt Appraiser, appliqué aficionado, and a national quilt contest winner.
