Connie Horne: Trunk Show
Website: www.conniehorne.com
Connie Horne says… “I started quilting in 2000, when my oldest son asked me to make him a quilt. I began to take quilting classes at my local quilt shop in Elk Grove. I still continue to take classes. There is so much to learn. What really got me excited was wearable art. I felt that was something that would work for me. I began to take classes, but I found out working at home by myself gave me freedom to do what I wanted to do. I started to experiment with fabric andi I have lots of fun. I am now experimenting with art quilts.”
Connie’s quilts have been featured in Cindy Walter’s Snippet Sensation Book and Cindy’s Christmas Snippet Book.
Connie has a quilt that is in a traveling exhibition held in honor of the 20th anniversary of the National Afro-American Museum and Cultural center in historic Wilberforce University titled “Fiber of Slavery” which will be featured in Curator Dr. Carolyn Mazloomi’s new book.
