River City Quilter’s Guild
Mentoring Program

MENTORS: 1. Are you an experienced quilter? 2. Are you a professional quilter?
3. Would you like to share your knowledge with other quilters?

MENTEES: Are you a beginning quilter who needs occasional help? Are you an experienced quilter who wonders how to become a professional? Do you wish you had somebody you could call who would give you a hand solving a quilting problem or just boost you along a bit?

Putting these people together is what I’ll be trying to do with the Mentoring Program in 2007.

I can’t do it without your help. If you answered yes to question #3 above, please call or email me so that we can put together a list of volunteer mentors. Once we have the list together, we will publish it and those who need help may call the mentors directly. We DON’T intend this to be continuous lessons, nor for the mentors to be called excessively. We DO intend to be there for you when you need us. Mentors and mentees may choose to have an ongoing relationship, or simply exchange information from time to time. I’ve been a Mentor for years and it is wonderful for the Mentor and for the Mentee.

If you are willing to have your name included on the Mentor list, please contact me with the following information:
1. Name
2. Areas of particular expertise
3. Telephone number(s)
4. Times when you are available
5. Email address
6. General area of Greater Sacramento where you live. (i.e., Midtown, Carmichael,
Florin, etc.)

DEADLINE: January 31, 2008
I hope to have a get-together for the Mentors at some point in the not-too-distant future.
Thanks for your participation.
